The Uganda Cranes will return to home action on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, when they host Libya in a crucial Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2027 Group H qualifier at the newly inaugurated Hoima City Stadium in Mparo, Hoima.

Cranes Return Home After Tunisia Draw
Uganda go into the Libya encounter after opening their Group H campaign with a 1-1 draw against Tunisia in Radès on September 24.
Tunisia took the lead before Rogers Mato equalised for Uganda in the second half, giving the Cranes a point away from home.
The result gives Uganda momentum heading into their first home fixture of the qualifying campaign.
Uganda are already guaranteed a place at the 2027 AFCON finals because they are one of the three co-hosts alongside Kenya and Tanzania. However, the Cranes are still participating in the qualifying competition, with CAF using the Group H campaign to determine the additional team that will qualify from the group.
